Ranges is a polyptych composed of twelve square-format drawings that collectively explore a conceptual "study of occupation" within a defined space. Each drawing presents a unique variation on a shared theme, examining ideas of approximation and deviation, materialization and reduction. Through this iterative process, the work investigates how subtle shifts can generate new spatial tensions, offering a dynamic visual inquiry into the relationship between form and territory. At its core, Ranges evokes a constellation of circles enacting different rituals of spatial presence—at times assertive, at times restrained. These forms engage in a kind of silent choreography, suggesting an underlying rhythm reminiscent of music, where contrasts in sound and silence reveal themselves differently with each encounter.
