/ /Colorings

Colorings is a continuation of the Materialisms project, but with a notable shift in approach. Unlike previous series that intervened upon found imagery, this body of work is based on photographs specifically conceived and produced by the artist. These images serve as the foundation for a singular narrative—intimate and self-contained—that unfolds through the use of color (“Color + rings”), spatial relationships, and objects. Some of these visual elements remain rooted in the pictorial, while others drift toward the abstract, inviting the viewer into a space where clarity and ambiguity coexist. Each photograph receives an additional layer of dense black pigment, transforming the image and adding depth, tension, and a sense of secrecy. This overlay does not erase the image but rather creates a second plane of meaning—a visual palimpsest where past and future, what was and what might become, are held in suspension.

The result is a narrative charged with mystery, where interpretive clues are offered but never fully resolved, like fragments of a story waiting to be pieced together. The viewer becomes an active participant in this unfolding fiction, caught between revelation and enigma.
