Developed during an artistic residency at the Château de La Roche-Guyon, this project takes the form of a visual diary—an intimate record of lived experience through drawing, writing, and sensory observation. Over the course of my stay within the castle walls, I gathered impressions, emotions, and reflections that were initially captured in small notes and sketches. These were later translated into a series of larger-scale drawings, each rendered in Indian ink on cotton paper (50 cm x 50 cm), serving as meditative responses to the unique atmosphere of the château.
From this body of work, thirteen drawings were selected for exhibition, displayed on wooden boxes within a carefully chosen room of the castle. The placement of the installation was intentional: from the windows of this space, visitors can view the River Seine, a constant and defining presence that flows alongside the château. This view is more than picturesque—it forms an integral part of the sensory and emotional fabric of the site, and plays a central role in shaping the visitor's experience.
